Hyderabad  is the capital city of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is in the Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh. It is India's 6th largest metropolis and the 41st largest metropolitan area in the world. Hyderabad has a twin city named Secunderabad which was formed when the British residency of the erstwhile princely State of Hyderabad had set up a military base near Hyderabad. Hyderabad is known for its rich history, culture and architecture representing its unique characteristic of a meeting point for North and South India, and its multi-lingual culture, both geographically and culturally. Hence, Hyderabad is considered to be the gateway of southern India.

Charminar is a monument located in the City of Hyderabad which is the capital city of the State of Andhra Pradesh in South India. The Charminar monument, built in the center of Hyderabad by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah in 1591 as a commemoration of the eradication of a plague. Charminar is one of the most important landmarks of the city. There are two galleries within the Charminar, one over another, and above those a terrace that serves as a roof, bordered with a stone balcony. It is vaulted underneath and appears like a dome.

Falaknuma Palace is situated on a hill 650 meters in height, in the Old City of Hyderabad, India. It was built by Nawab Vikar-ul-Umra. It was purchased by the then Nizam VI during 1897 for use as a royal guest house. The palace provides a good view of Hyderabad. The palace is spread out in a scorpion shape with two pincers spread out as wings on the north. The middle part occupies the main building. The Harem quarters and the kitchen stretch towards the south.

Nehru Zoological Park is the largest Zoo in India. It is located near the Mir Alam Tank in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. It was established in 1963 and named after the first prime minister of the country, Jawaharlal Nehru. It is spread over an area of 300 acres.  It has a wide selection of animals - nearly 1,500 species of birds, animals and reptiles are housed here. It is closed on mondays.

Golkonda is a ruined city and fortress 11 km west of the city of Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh state, India. The city and fortress are built on a granite hill that is 120 meters high and is surrounded by massive crenellated ramparts. The beginnings of the fort date to the 1143, when the Hindu Kakatiya dynasty ruled the area. The Kakatiya dynasty were followed by the state of Warangal, which was later conquered by the Islamic Bahmani Sultanate.

Birla Mandir is a magnificient temple with great architectural significance was built by the Birla Foundation in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara.  The Temple complex overlooking the southern side of Hussain Sagar, offers a fantastic panoramic view of the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. It presents a colorful spectacular sight when illuminated at night.
