Festival, which is held in the month of February.
The festival is held on the enchanting background of
the majestic Jaisalmer fort. The festival itself is
a riot of colors with the desert folks dancing and
singing evocatively of the triumphs and tragedies of
the land. From scary snake charmers to traditional
gymnasts and amusing puppet shows to enchanting folk
music recitals, it is all there at the Jaisalmer
desert festival. This mega event is conducted in
association with Rajasthan Tourism Development
Corporation.

of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan through the famous Desert
Festival. There are various events organised during
the three day festival comprises of snake charmers,
puppeteers, acrobats, folk performers and the famous
camel race. Apart from these the Mr. Desert
Competition and the Turban Tying Competition are the
major attractions of this Desert Festival. It
becomes even more interesting and funny when the
competition takes place between Indian native and
Foreign tourists. Moustache competition is another
major attraction of the Desert Festival In
Rajasthan, that gives away the prizes to the man
with longest moustache.
