Fort & Palaces Tour

Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi and transfer to hotel. Check in hotel. Day at leisure. Overnight stay at Delhi.

Day 02: Delhi - Agra
Delhi : Start a full-day tour of Old and New Delhi after breakfast.
OLD DELHI- A sightseeing tour of Old Delhi would entail visiting the Raj Ghat - the memorial site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated; Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India and the Red Fort - once the most opulent fort and palace of the Moghul Empire. Enjoy a Cycle rickshaw ride from Jama Masjid to Chandni Chowk.
NEW DELHI- An extensive sightseeing tour of New Delhi would include a visit to the Humayun’s Tomb, the Qutub Minar and a drive along the ceremonial avenue - Rajpath, past the imposing India Gate, Parliament House, the President’s Residence and the Lotus Temple and would end with a drive through the Diplomatic Enclave.
After sightseeing drive to Agra.By road 201 km in 6 hr. Arrive Agra & check-in at Hotel. Overnight stay at Agra.


Day 03: Delhi - Agra
Morning after breakfast drive to Agra. Arrive Agra and check-in at hotel. later city sightseeing tour visiting the world famous Taj Mahal, built by the Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in 1630 for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Later visit the Agra Fort containing the pearl mosque and the hall of public and private audience. Overnight stay at Agra.


Day 04: Agra - Jaipur

Morning, after breakfast drive to Jaipur. Enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri-a perfectly preserved red sandstone “ghost town” which was the estranged capital of mughal emperor Akbar, built in 1569 and deserted when its water supply failed. Arrive Jaipur and check-in at hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Jaipur.

Day 05: Jaipur
Morning excursion to Amber Fort. Elephant ride ascent to the fort.
AMBER FORT PALACE- Amber is the classic romantic Rajasthani fort palace. Its construction was started by Man Singh I in 1592, and completed by his descendent Jai Singh I. Its forbidding exterior belies an inner paradise where a beautiful fusion of Mughal and Hindu styles finds it's ultimate _expression. Continue sight-seeing.
CITY PALACE- A delightful blend of Mughal and traditional Rajasthani architecture, the City Palace sprawls over one-seventh of the area in the walled city. It houses the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum.
JANTAR MANTAR- This is the largest and the best preserved of the five observatories built by Jai Singh II in different parts of the country. This observatory consisting of outsized astronomical instruments is still in use.
HAWA MAHAL- The ornamental facade of this "Palace of Winds" is a prominent landmark in Jaipur. Their five-storey structures of sandstone plastered pink encrusted with fine trelliswork and elaborate balconies. The palace has 953 niches and windows. Built in 1799 by Pratap Singh, the Mahal was a royal grandstand for the palace women. Overnight stay at Jaipur.


Day 06: Jaipur - Udaipur

Morning after breakfast drive to Udaipur. Arrive Udaipur & check-in at hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Udaipur.

Day 07: Udaipur


Morning after breakfast city tour of Udaipur - The city is built in 1559 A.D. by Maharaja Udai Singh and has been described as the most romantic spot on the continent of India by Col. James Todd. Visit the City Palace museum, the Jagdish temple, Sahelion Ki Bari ( Queen’s resort for their friends) Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir ( Folk art museum) and the Pratap Memorial. Overnight stay at Udaipur.


Day 08: Udaipur - Jodhpur

Morning after breakfast drive to Jodhpur. Arrive Jodhpur & check-in at hotel. Later city sightseeing of Jodhpur. Jodhpur stronghold of the fierce Rathore clan was founded in 1459 by Prince Jodha. Visit the Mehrangarh Fort, situated on a low sandstone hill. Within the fort, visit Moti- Mahal and Phool Mahal. Also visit Jaswant Thada, an imposing marble cenotaph, built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh in around 1899 and the Umaid Public Gardens. Overnight stay at Jodhpur.


Day 09: Jodhpur - Jaisalmer

Morning, drive to Jaisalmer. On arrival check in at hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at Jaisalmer.


Day 10: Jaisalmer

Morning, city sightseeing throbbing in the heart of the Thar desert. The burnished sandstone is an intricately molded wonderland in place of a barren land. Today stands a city of gilded magic. The origins of Jaisalmer date back to the 12th century, when Rawal Jaisal abandoned his old fort at Ludarwa and laid the foundation of a new city. Visit the magnificent fort, the Patwon Ki Haveli (mansion) and Salim Singh Ki Haveli, which are supreme examples of the art. Evening camel ride to Sam dunes. Overnight stay at Jaisalmer.


Day 11: Jaisalmer - Delhi (Overnight Train)

Day at leisure. In Evening transfer to railway station to board for Delhi. Overnight at Train.

Day 12: Departure

Arrive Delhi and transfer to Delhi International Airport for catch the flight to onward journey.
