Located near the city of Aurangabad in Maharashtra, The 34 caves at Ellora and the 29 caves at Ajanta, were remained shrouded in obscurity for over a millennium, till John Smith, a British Army Officer, accidentally stumbled upon them while on a hunting expedition in 1819. Ajanta has been designated as a World Heritage Site, to be preserved as an artistic legacy that will come to inspire and enrich the lives of generations to come.
 

Day 01: New Delhi
Delhi is the second most widely used entry point in the country, being on the route of most major airlines. It is well linked by rail, air and road to all parts of the country. The remains of seven distinctive capital cities - among them Shahjahanabad and Qutab Minar - can be seen.

Day 02: New Delhi - Agra
Morning drive to Agra.visiting Red Fort & world famous Taj Mahal.Night stay in Agra.


Day 03: Agra - Jaipur
drive to jaipur in the morning.enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri.The royal city at Fatehpur Sikri, situated 26 miles west of Agra, was built at the orders of the Mughal Emperor Akbar.Fatehpur Sikri is now a World Heritage site. The Panch Mahal , or Palace of Five Storeys, and the Buland Darwaza, a massive gate which provides entrance to the complex, number among the finest specimens of Mughal architecture


Day 04: Jaipur

Jaipur, the Pink City of Rajasthan was founded in 1727 AD by one of the greatest rulers of the Kachhawaha clan,tourist places in Jaipur, the most famous are: Hawa Mahal,City Palace etc.

Day 05: Jaipur - Udaipur
Arrive udaipur in morning. after breakfast. nightstay in Udaipur

Day 06: Udaipur
Udaipur, the 'City of Lakes' and the 'City of Dawn' are the most famous appellations given to Udaipur.Udaipur is also called - Jewel of Mewar - as it was ruled by the Sisodia dynasty for a consecutive duration of 1200 years.


Day 07: Udaipur - Ranakpur - Mt. Abu

Morning after breakfast drive to Mt. Abu enrout visit Ranakpur.Ranakpur is located in the mountain ranges of Pali district, 23 kms.


Day 08: Mt.Abu

this is the coldest place at this time of the year. Folk dances and a general atmosphere of gaiety prevails in this tiny hill resort and the tourist has ample time to relax and enjoy himself.


Day 09: Mt. Abu - Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad is the largest city in the state of Gujarat and the seventh largest urban agglomeration in India, Located on the banks of the River Sabarmati.


Day 09-11: Ahmedabad - Mumbai - Aurangabad

Bollywood is one of the biggest crowd puller of the city.Mumbai is also one of the rare cities to accommodate a national park,Aurangabad The city is known for its medieval monuments and cultural heritage and was the seat of the Mughal Empire for a short period


Day 11-15: Ajanta - Jalgaon - Bhopal - Sanchi

The cave temples of Ajanta are situated about sixty two miles north of Aurangabad in western India.Caves drive to Jalgaon (about 50 km). Arrive Jalgaon and check-in at hotel. Night stay in Jalgaon.Morning transfer to railway station to board the train for Bhopal. Arrive Bhopal and transfer to hotel. Night stay in Bhopal


Day 16: Jhansi - Khajuraho

Jhansi is a city of Uttar Pradesh state.Khajuraho is just a small modest village with no more than 3000 residents surrounded by the forestland
 

Day 17: Khajuraho - Jhansi - New Delhi
in the morning sightseeing of the three groups of temples. Later transfer to Jhansi to board the train for New Delhi. Arrive Delhi and transfer to International airport for flight back home.
