The Royal Orient

The Royal Orient, brainchild of the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat and the Indian Railways. Developed on the lines of famous Palace On wheels, it was started as a joint effort between the Tourist Corporation of Gujarat Limited and the Indian railways during 1994-95. A tour on the Royal Orient takes you to two most colorful and culturally rich states of India, Gujarat and Rajasthan. On its way the train covers some of the most exotic and lustrous destinations comprising of serene lakes, ancient temples, beautiful sea resorts and it also provides you an opportunity to closely monitor the rich wildlife of Rajasthan and Gujarat.

13 Coaches & Saloons.13 Magnificent Periods of History.
The blue color train has 13 coaches in all, well maintained with all modern facilities comparable to best of 5 star hotels. A restaurant car is attached with the train to provide you Indian, continental, Chinese as well as Rajasthani and Gujarati cuisine. Begin at Delhi, chug along to Rajasthan, cross over and reach Gujarat. Return after seven memorable days and nights, enriched incomparably and enamoured forever!

Itinerary

1st day: (Wednesday) Leave Delhi : Tea and Dinner on board The Royal Orient.

2nd day: (Thursday) Chittaurgarh : Visit Chittaurgarh Fort. Leave for Udaipur. Breakfast on Board. Udaipur :Lunch at Hotel. Udaipur is the city of sunrise. It is a city replete with beautiful lakes, marble palaces, landscaped gardens and ancient temples. Visit City City Palace, Jag Niwas, Jag Mandir, Laxmivilas and Monsoon Palace. Leave for Junagadh. Dinner on Board.

3rd day: (Friday) Ahmedabad :Operational Halt for one hour. Breakfat and Lunch on board. Junagadh .Ahmedabad offers the traveler various interesting and historical places Sabarmati Ashram. Visit Rani Sipri's Mosque, Raj Rabri Mosque, Kutbi Mazar, Bhadra Fort, Dinner at Hotel.

4th day: day (Saturday) Leave for Sasan Gir. Visit the Sasan Gir Lion Sanctuary.This famous Lion sanctuary lies at the bottom of the Saurasktra peninsula in the western state of Gujurat. Leave for Delwada. Lunch on Board. Enjoy a tour of Delwada covering Ahmedpur and Mandvi Beach. Leave for Palitana. Dinner on Board.

5th day : (Sunday) Breakfast on Board. Palitana houses perhaps the largest cluster of Jain. Visit temples.Kumarpal, Vimalshah and Sampriti Raja.Leave for Sarkhej. Lunch on Board. Sarkhej :Visit and have dinner at Vishalla village. Proceed to Ahmedabad by bus.

6th day: (Monday) Ahmedabad :Ahmedabad is the largest city and a leading industrial centre in Gujarat. Visit Adalaj Step Well, Hathising Jain Temple, Calico Textiles' Museum, Gandhi Ashram, Lunch at Hotel. Leave for Jaipur. Tea and Dinner on board.

7th day: (Tuesday) Breakfast on board. Jaipur. Jaipur is the colourful capital of Rajasthan. Visit Nahargarh Fort, Jai Garh, Jantar Mantar, Samode Palace, Ramgarh Lake, Amer Palace, Hawa Mahal, Leave for Delhi. Dinner on Board.

8th day: (Wednesday) Delhi : Reach Delhi Cantt. Railway Station.
